Our Hotel Management received ECO Hotel Certification

On 5 April 2012, Sheraton Surabaya Hotel & Towers gotECO Hotel Certificationby PT. TUVRheinland Indonesia in recognition of our commitment to establish and implementstandards in order to create sustainability and environmental stewardship.

Eight elements of the criteria forapplication of environmental care is: the goal of the organization, purchasing, management of hazardous substances, water management, waste management, office supplies, external facilities and integration and safety of energy managementin the surrounding. Implementation of this element is the system that manages according to the standardization, compliance legalary quatment, andsystematically not only a source of pride, so do not rely solely on engineering.

There are two things that underlie the SheratonSurabaya Hotel ECOprogram to follow. The first is the request from the customer andcorporate on environmental improvements, the second isthe policy of environmentalsustainability Starwood across the Starwood property. Sheraton Surabaya implements systems by twentyto thirty energyreduction of 30 percent and 20 percent water, with a calculatedamount of rooms.
